Introduction

Pacific Accounting Review is pleased to announce a call for papers for a special issue on "Contemporary Challenges and Innovations in Accounting and Financial Economics". This special issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research that addresses the latest challenges and advancements in the fields of accounting and financial economics.

Research on contemporary issues in accounting and financial economics is essential for expanding knowledge, informing practice, addressing real-world challenges, promoting financial stability, enhancing accountability and transparency, supporting sustainability, and adapting to technological advancements. It plays a vital role in improving financial decision-making, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and fostering the overall development and advancement of these critical fields.

We invite authors of papers accepted for presentation at the International Conference on Accounting & Financial Economics held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 12 January 2024 that fit the theme of this special issue are invited to get feedback from the guest editors before the special issue closes as a ‘workshop’ and especially papers using Southeast Asian data.

We also invite researchers and practitioners to submit original research papers and case studies on a wide range of topics related to accounting and financial economics.

Submissions are made using ScholarOne Manuscripts. Registration and access are available here.

Author guidelines must be strictly followed.

Authors should select (from the drop-down menu) the special issue title at the appropriate step in the submission process, i.e. in response to "Please select the issue you are submitting to".

Submitted articles must not have been previously published, nor should they be under consideration for publication anywhere else, while under review for this journal.
