Journal of Professional Capital and Community: open call for papers

Open call for papers and special issue proposals

Context

The Journal of Professional Capital and Community (JPCC) examines how educational institutions - from schools to systems - build their capacities to advance equity and excellence. Through empirical and conceptual scholarship, JPCC interrogates critical questions about factors that promote and inhibit professional capital across contexts and cultures. Articles examine myriad issues, such as:

  • Individualism and collaboration in teaching
  • Factors that influence collegiality, collaboration, and critical reflection
  • Leadership and team building
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Collective responsibility and evidence-based transparency

JPCC prioritizes scholarship that makes a real world impact.  Toward that end, we welcome contributions from a range of disciplines and applying a broad spectrum of methodologies including quantitative and qualitative approaches, documentary study, action research and conceptual development. We are an international journal and encourage our authors to write for a global audience.
