How to submit

We would like to invite you to contribute a chapter to an upcoming edited book titled "Effective Practices in AI literacy Education: Case Studies and Reflections".

This book is edited by Dr Christine O’Dea and Dr Davy Tk Ng. It addresses the urgent need for effective and innovative approaches for AI literacy education (e.g., teaching and learning) in higher education. It is estimated that the book will be published in 2024 (book submission: May. 2024).

We are seeking original and unpublished chapters that address the following topics:

  • Discipline appropriate approaches in teaching AI literacy
  • Innovative approaches in teaching AI literacy at the institutional level.

The subject disciplines include, but not limited to business and law, humanities, natural sciences, applies sciences, and social sciences. Innovative approaches include, but not limited to gamification, simulation, and project based learning. We particularly welcome contributions from individuals from a variety of countries and institutions.

A chapter should be approximately 2,500 words (including references) long and include:

  • A brief author biography (50 words)
  • Background (including rationales)
  • Course overview (e.g., subject, level (UG, or PG))
  • Course design
    • Learning objectives
    • Course assessments
    • Content topics
    • Teaching approaches
    • Hands-on activates
  • Student feedback and evaluation
    • Methodology
    • Results and analysis
  • Tutor self reflection (e.g., what has worked, what has not, problems, challenges, and future plans)
  • Recommendations
     

How to submit

The deadline for submitting your book chapter is 30 March 2024.
