We are delighted to share that International Journal of Emergency Services (IJES) has been included in the latest Academic Journal Guide (AJG) 2021 published by the Chartered Association of Business School as a 2 star journal. As a founding Editor and Editor-In-Chief, it is personally satisfying to see the journal being recognised in the AJG 2021, more so, being the sole entry covering the field of Emergency Services Management within the Public Sector and Health Care Portfolio.

This is an important achievement for our relatively new journal, launched in 2012,  to establish itself in publishing new and groundbreaking research on Emergency Services Management, a field which is an under-researched sub discipline of management studies and characterised by a clear theory-practice divide.  Such a recognition would not have been possible without the support of the IJES editorial team, our reviewers, authors, emergency services professionals and our readers.
