Welcome the new Editors of the International Journal of Web Information Systems

International Journal of Web Information Systems

The International Journal of Web Information Systems is delighted to welcome two new Editors: Prof. Honghao Gao from Shanghai University, China, and Prof. Li Kuang from Central South University, China. Both editors have extensive experience in the field of Web Information Systems and they will work to ensure that the journal continues to publish high-quality, innovative research in this area.

 

Prof. Honghao Gao, Shanghai University, China

Honghao Gao is currently with the School of Computer Engineering and Science, Shanghai University, China. He is also a Professor at Gachon University, Korea. His research interests include Software Formal methods, Collaborative Computing, Intelligent Data Processing. He has publications in IEEE TII, IEEE T-ITS, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TSC, IEEE TFS, etc. Moreover, he has broad working experience in cooperative industry-university-research. He is a European Union Institutions-appointed external expert for reviewing and monitoring EU Project, is a member of the EPSRC Peer Review Associate College for UK Research and Innovation in the UK, and a founding member of the IEEE Computer Society Smart Manufacturing Standards Committee. Prof. Gao is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS).

 

Prof. Li Kuang, Central South University, China

Li Kuang received her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2004 and 2009 respectively. She is currently a professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Central South University. Her research interests include Service Computing, Code Intelligence and Intelligent Transportation System. She has authored or co-authored over 60 journal and conference publications. She is currently leading some research projects supported by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, and National Natural Science Foundation of China. She serves as a committee member of many international conferences, such as International Conference on Web Services, IEEE International Congress on Big Data, Asia-Pacific Services Computing Conference. She also serves as a reviewer of several international journals, such as Transactions on Services Computing, Signal Processing, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, Frontiers of Computer Science and Information Sciences.

 

The new Editors have also updated the Aims and Scope of the journal to reflect the latest development in the ever-changing field of Web Information Systems. The updated list of possible topics includes:
