The article "Examining the impact of a strength-based program to enhance teacher-trainees' critical thinking abilities: a pilot study" by Divya Surendran Nair and Seema Bhandare was recently published and marks the first article to be published in this new fully Open Access journal.

    • Our research explores how a program based on positive psychology principles can help future teachers improve their critical thinking skills by focusing on their individual strengths.
  2. Why does this research matter, and what impact could this research have?
    • This research is significant because it pioneers a novel approach to enhancing critical thinking skills among teacher-trainees by utilizing a strength-based program grounded in positive psychology principles. By utilizing positive psychology principles and individual strengths, we can empower future teachers to foster deeper learning experiences for students. This aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), as it promotes innovative teaching practices that can ultimately contribute to a more inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all. Moreover, by emphasizing critical thinking skills, this research aligns with the broader goals of promoting lifelong learning and fostering sustainable development across various sectors.
  3. What attracted you to submit to Quality Education for All?
    • We were drawn to submit our research to Quality Education for All due to its alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, which seeks to make universal lifelong learning accessible to all. As our research focuses on enhancing critical thinking skills among teacher-trainees, it directly contributes to the goal of fostering quality education for everyone. Furthermore, the journal's aims and scope, which prominently mention creativity and critical thinking in education, resonated with the core objectives of our research. Given that our study explores innovative approaches to promoting critical thinking skills, we believed that Quality Education for All would be an ideal platform to share our findings and contribute to the ongoing discourse on educational improvement. Moreover, the journal's association with Emerald Publishing, renowned for its high-quality publications, provided additional assurance of the credibility and visibility of our research. We were confident that publishing in Quality Education for All would ensure that our research reaches a wide audience of educators and researchers thus maximizing its impact on the field of education.
