Re-Imagining Management As a Driver of Innovation, Agility and Purpose in the Digital Era

Strategy & Leadership

These ten articles by Stephen Denning in Strategy & Leadership collectively make the case for a re-imagination of the discipline of management. The increasingly accepted fact is that many of the principles and processes that are driving the actions of the most successful firms in the world today. are almost the opposite of those that were practiced in industrial era corporations and are still practiced in many large firms now. In effect, mangement practices that used to work, often don't any more. The complexity and the pace of change of the digital age has made industrial-era management systems obsolete.

The articles show why and how management has changed, and what’s involved in firms making the journey from industrial-era management to digital-age management. They showcase the passion and mindset of executives who are making these kinds of changes happen. They explain the why the re-imagined management transcends blueprints, frameworks and gameplans and explores the different mindset and the mindset changes  needed to be successful in the digital age.

The articles will be freely accessible between the 13th of February and 12th of April, 2023.
