African Journal of Economic and Management Studies (AJEMS) advances both theoretical and empirical research, informs policies and practices, and improves understanding of how economic and business decisions shape the lives of Africans. AJEMS is a multidisciplinary journal and welcomes papers from all the major disciplines in economics, business and management studies.

African managers and policy makers are in constant search of performance enhancing management practices. As a result AJEMS places management and leadership at the centre-stage of business and organizational research in Africa and the journal emphasizes an understanding of how theories and models support management practices. The journal also carries a section that stimulates practitioner-based dialogue offering its readers insights into how African executives practise management.
