An interview with Bob Doherty: Editor of the Social Enterprise Journal


Image: Bob Doherty.Bob Doherty is Professor of Marketing at The York Management School, University of York. He received his PhD titled ‘Resource Advantage Theory in Fair Trade Social Enterprises’ from Liverpool John Moores University.

Bob spent six and a half years at Liverpool Business School (Liverpool John Moores University) as Senior Lecturer in Social Enterprise and Corporate Responsibility, where he led the Social Enterprise Research Group and associated postgraduate programmes. More recently Bob was Head of the Business School at Liverpool Hope University.

For the past five years he has been Editor of Emerald's Social Enterprise Journal. Bob specializes in research on the marketing aspects of fair trade and social enterprises. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC) at the University of Birmingham.
