Call For Applications - Funding For Research In Food Science Or Nutrition

Dr. Nell I. Mondy was recognized world-wide as an important contributor to the fields of plant biochemistry, food science, and human nutrition, receiving numerous honors for her work at Cornell University and abroad. She was a dedicated member of Sigma Delta Epsilon/Graduate Women in Science (SDE/GWIS) and established the Nell I. Mondy Fellowship to benefit outstanding women scientists and their research efforts. In 2005, Nell I. Mondy passed away, but SDE/GWIS is pleased to continue her legacy in the Nell I. Mondy Fellowships.
Sigma Delta Epsilon/Graduate Women in Science announces the 2009 Nell I. Mondy Fellowships to support the research of exceptional women scientists in the areas of food or nutrition sciences. The Nell I. Mondy Fellowships offer awards of a minimum of $5000 for a period of one year to provide funding for research-associated expenses. 

Application deadline is January 15, 2009, and awards will be made by July 1, 2009.
