Call for Special Issue proposals

Industrial Management & Data Systems (IMDS) invites interested researchers to submit a Special Issue proposal to be launched in 2025. We are open to any emerging topics that fit the aim and scope of IMDS. Special issue proponents must be familiar with IMDS’s guidelines

Although not compulsory, we would prioritise IMDS board members, reviewers and authors when considering the special issue proposals.

Topics of interest and evaluation criteria

Examples of recent topics that we are interested in include, but are not limited to:

  • Operations/supply chain resilience

  • Responsible innovation management

  • Digital servitisation

  • Sustainable information systems

  • Ethical challenges in artificial intelligence

  • Immersive technologies

  • Methods focused topics.

The evaluation criteria include:

  • Originality and impact of the proposed topic

  • Experience of the guest editors

  • Plans on how to solicit a diverse range of papers.

How to submit

If you are interested in publishing a Special Issue in IMDS, please contact Prof. Zhao Cai, Managing Editor of IMDS, at [email protected] to receive a special issue proposal form and a call for papers template.
