Celebrating Emerald's High Usage Awards 2025

The top 20 global academic institutions with the highest number of downloads of Emerald’s eJournal content have been announced.

Now in its 14th year, the annual High Usage Awards celebrate the relationship between Emerald Publishing and the winning institutions. The awards also highlight the global reach and impact of the research published by Emerald.

The top three positions are held by Egyptian Knowledge Bank Data Center, Egypt, with 675,407 downloads, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, with 523,285, and Liberty University, United States, with 488,571.

The top 20 institutions include six from Indonesia, five from the UK, and two from Malaysia. Institutions from Egypt, the USA, Australia and China are also featured.

  11. Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas Lima, Peru
  12. Universitas Trisakti, Indonesia
  13. University of Manchester, United Kingdom
