This book series addresses the important intersection between education, employability and work.

Education is under increased pressure to respond to the demands of the society and critical issues such as rising unemployment, heightened job competition, unbalanced demand and supply in the labour market, changing labour market, and global financial, health and climate crises.

In particular, digitalisation in industries and workplaces, including the rise of automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), has generated an increased demand for digital literacy and changing skillsets. Countries are also facing with a range of issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion in both workplaces and the provision of work-integrated learning, including apprenticeship arrangements, and in specific occupations and industries. 

This book series will focus on international perspectives on policies, practices and challenges and new developments in the following areas:

• Vocational education and training
• Adaptation or reform of curriculum in response to evolving skills demands
• Work-integrated learning, including the virtual forms
• Employability and professional development
• Digitalisation of jobs, including automation and AI in industries, and employability
• Impacts of digital technologies on employability development in vocational education and HE contexts
• Education-to-work transition
• Diversity, equity and inclusion in specific occupations and industries
• International education, mobilities and employability
• Apprenticeships, policy and practice
• Global financial, health and climate crises and impacts on apprenticeship provision.

This book series, including short form books of up to 50,000 words, edited volumes and standard monographs, is designed to cover theoretical perspectives, practical examples and evidence-based research on the nexus of education, employability and work.

Contributions from a diversity of international contexts and disciplinary perspectives are welcome. We also welcome established scholars and emerging and early career researchers to contribute to this book series.
