Call for Talents to Join IJSI as Young Editorial Board Members

International Journal of Structural Integrity

In order to foster interdisciplinary research and collaboration in the field of structural integrity, create a dynamic platform for young scholars, and increase the impact of the journal, the International Journal of Structural Integrity (IJSI) is now inviting energetic young researchers to join its Young Editorial Board.

The selection process will involve individual self-recommendation and evaluation by the Editorial Advisory Board, with an open call for applications in the field of structural integrity.

About the Journal

International Journal of Structural Integrity (IJSI) is published in partnership with the European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) and the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS). The latest Journal Impact Factor is 2.7.

The journal aims to serve as a key platform for international exchange of cutting-edge theories, innovative methods, and technological applications in the field of structural integrity. It seeks to bring together leading academic research and industrial applications in the areas of major engineering/equipment structural integrity, reliability and damage tolerance, covering topics from advanced/engineering materials to structural strength, damage, fatigue and fracture, reliability, safety, durability, structural health monitoring, and fault diagnosis etc.

Selection Criteria

  1. An established record of scholarship in the field, with a minimum of 5 papers published within the last three years as the first or corresponding author in reputable journals;
  2. Aged under 40 years old, holding a doctoral degree or associate or full professorship, with a long-term commitment to research, design, production, or other related work in structural integrity;
  3. Rigorous academic attitude, adherence to academic ethics;
  4. Preference will be given to researchers who have led influential research projects, achieved major research results, or held important academic positions in the field;
  5. A willingness to contribute to the development of the journal, and to dedicate time and effort to undertake the responsibilities of the Young Editorial Board;
  6. Outstanding organisational and international communication skills.

Responsibilities

  1. During each term of appointment, submit or recommend at least 3 high-quality papers to the journal, or organise at least 1 special issue;
  2. Review journal articles as requested by the Editor, and recommend peer reviewers in related fields;
  3. Actively promote the journal at conferences, events, and through social media;
  4. Assist or participate in academic activities organised or supported by the journal to promote academic exchanges;
  5. Provide feedback and suggestions to assist in the development and direction of the journal.
