ENCM Welcomes New Editor-in-Chief

Engineering and Computational Mechanics

Change of EiC at Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE): Engineering and Computational Mechanics

For many years, Engineering and Computational Mechanics has successfully managed to bridge the challenging gap between engineers operating in industry and the realm of academic research bringing researchers and practitioners together. Over the past 4 years, the ENCM journal has been expertly managed by the outgoing EiC, Prof. Matthew Gilbert, who guided the journal through unprecedented multiple challenges including the covid pandemic and a change of manuscript submission system. The ICE and Emerald are extremely grateful for Prof. Gilbert's efforts in keeping the journal thriving and pushing the boundaries of civil and engineering computation.

ENCM is pleased to announce that new Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Benedict Rogers, has taken on the role for the next 3 years starting January 2024.

Prof. Benedict Rogers

Prof. Rogers from the University of Manchester (UK) has over 25 years of experience of engineering research and application, with a strong background in the development and application of meshless methods for engineering simulation publishing nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles on topics ranging from water wave mechanics, resilient infrastructure to manufacturing. He has been on the ENCM Editorial Board since 2013 and as EiC in the next 3 years, Prof. Rogers aims not only to expand the reach of the journal, but also to continue to bring the state-of-the-art research together with stimulating topics from industry that address the engineering challenges of our time.
