Call for Early Career Reviewers!

Journal for Multicultural Education

Journal for Multicultural Education (JME) is pleased to announce the creation of an Early Career Review Board.

JME is designed to provide a platform for understanding multicultural education in the context of teacher-learner equity and enabling learners to collaborate more effectively across ethnic, cultural and linguistic lines.

As strong believers in positive change, JME has decided to develop an Early Career Review Board (ECRB) to give Early Career Researchers the means to participate within a journal publishing environment and to be involved in developing JME for the community along with the editors and associate editors.

Selected applicants will be appointed to the ECRB for 3 years, after which there may be the opportunity to be appointed to the Editorial Review Board (ERB) in consultation with the editor. Each member is expected to review 3 to 4 new papers per year. There will be an introductory meeting to discuss the publication process and any questions. Training will be provided for Emerald’s submission system ScholarOne.

The application process is simple – please email the editor, Associate Professor Sherry Deckman, with a statement (no more than 400 words) on why you would like to be involved in the Review Board.  Please also mention your primary areas of research expertise. Early career researchers are those who have been awarded a doctoral degree in the past 5 years (excluding career breaks).
