Conference Overview

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has fundamentally reshaped and redefined the business landscape, profoundly altering the way people think and approach problem-solving in various industries. In recognition of this transformative period, we are excited to announce the call for papers for our upcoming 7th International Conference of Entrepreneurship for Sustainability & Impact (ESI) titled 'Redefining Business in the Era of AI Revolution'. We welcome submissions that not only address the technological advancements in AI but also delve into its broader business, economic, social, and ethical implications. Our conference features diverse tracks, each focusing on a specific domain where AI is making significant inroads, ranging from climate change solutions and the circular economy to AI's role in logistics, entrepreneurship, digital finance, retail, auditing and fraud, and even its influence in higher education. After a peer-review process, the best papers from the ESI can be submitted to:

Conference Proceeding

The conference proceedings will feature a concise abstract of each presentation, accompanied by a focused exposition of the research's societal impact, limited to 200 words each. These abstracts and impact statements will be published together in the ESI2024 conference proceeding, offering a comprehensive overview of the research and its relevance to broader societal concerns.
Awards
All submissions will be evaluated based on their contribution towards the advancement of practice and theory as well as their potential contribution to entrepreneurship and sustainability. Prizes will be announced at the closing session of the conference.

•    Best Paper Awards: the winner will be awarded the sum of $1,250, the runner-up will be awarded $1,000, and the second runner-up will be awarded $750.
•    Best Case Study Awards: the winner will be awarded the sum of $1,000, the runner-up will be awarded $750, and the second runner-up will be awarded $500.
•    Outstanding PhD Dissertation-Based Paper Award: the winner will be awarded the sum of
$1,000, and the runner-up will be awarded $750.
•    Best Master/MBA-Dissertation Based Paper Awards: the winner will be awarded the sum of $1,000
•    Conference Funding for Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Authors: At least five authors with exceptional Ph.D. dissertation-based full papers will be awarded funds to cover their travel and accommodation expenses for attending and presenting at the conference. Furthermore, outstanding papers may be submitted for a prompt review process and considered for possible publication in the Management & Sustainability: An Arab Review (MSAR) journal. This opportunity provides a valuable platform for emerging scholars to share their research and contribute to the field.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submission of extended abstracts and/or full papers. Please submit a 1000-1500 word extended abstract (about 4 to 5 pages excluding references, appendices and other material) as a proposal for consideration at the conference. Full papers will also be accepted into the submission system. At least one author must attend the conference for the proposed paper to be included in the conference program.

Research Impact

As a vital part of the ESI conference, participants are invited to engage in a reflective exercise on the implications of their research. For each accepted paper for presentation, a written piece of at least 100 words presents the potential social/economic/business impact of their research. This section is designed to encourage scholars to think beyond the academic sphere and consider how their research can contribute to or influence societal aspects such as public policy, community health, environmental sustainability, business development, technological innovation, education, or social justice.

Registration Fees:

Qatar University and the conference sponsors support the ESI 2024 conference by covering the registration fees. However, prior registration is mandatory to attend the conference.

All paper presentations will take place in person and on-site. At least one author must register and attend the conference in person to present.

About ESI

The Entrepreneurship for Sustainability & Impact (ESI) is an annual conference hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurship & Organizational Excellence (CEOE) – Qatar University. It is one of the leading entrepreneurship conferences in the MENA region. ESI is a community of scholars and practitioners interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational excellence research, teaching, and practice. Our mission is to provide a forum for sharing ideas and interaction to advance entrepreneurship and organizational excellence research in the region. About CEOE

The Center for Entrepreneurship & Organizational Excellence (CEOE) is a research center within the College of Business & Economics at Qatar University. Through outstanding research and policy works, experiential learning, distinctive capacity building, and community outreach, the CEOE aims to make a profound impact on the way organizations in Qatar conduct business and the way their businesses affect Qatar. The CEOE activities include research and policy work, teaching, case development, consultancy, and training.
