The CASE Association have recently announced the winner of the 2020 CASE/Emerald Best Case Award.
Criteria included:
Quality of the case based on:
- Engaging writing style
- Timelessness and significance of the subject matter
- A challenging problem or analysis
Quality of the instructors’ manual/teaching note as a critical component of the case, even though not a ‘published’ component based on:
- Research contribution
- Method by which it elevates the case to meaningful status
- Practical pedagogical guidance offered to instructors
- Contributions to the field
Three finalists for the Emerald Best Case Award:
- "PSEG and the promise of wind power" by Stuart Rosenberg, (Monmouth University)
- "John Lewis partnership approaching 100 years – what now?" by Frank Shipper and Richard C. Hoffman (Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, Salisbury University)
- "Cleveland Clinic Florida “pay-for performance” reimbursement: why the best care does not always make the happiest patients" by Miriam Weismann and Sue Ganske, (Florida International University) and Osmel Delgado, (Cleveland Clinic Florida, Weston, Florida, USA)
