Emerald acquires the Journal of Accounting Literature

5th November 2021

Journal of Accounting Literature coverEmerald is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Journal of Accounting Literature (JAL). The journal was established in 1982 at the University of Florida (USA). It was previously published by both the University (1982-2012) and Elsevier (2013-2019). JAL will resume publication in 2022 with its 44th volume.

The Journal of Accounting Literature is a Scopus-indexed publication that provides an interdisciplinary outlet for synthesis articles and original research papers related to accounting phenomena. With its international breadth and historical roots in the accounting subject area, we are excited for the new opportunities JAL presents to contribute to Emerald’s Responsible Management goal. We would like to thank the current Editor Stephen K Asare, as well as Gary McGill at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business, for their help in leading JAL into the future.

JAL is now accepting submissions for 2022 and beyond via the online submission management system ScholarOne. Full details of the journal’s aims & scope can also be found on the recently-launched journal homepage.

JAL has been added to Emerald’s Accounting & Finance collection and is available for subscription. To learn how you can gain access to the publication and archive, please reach out to your Emerald business partner.
