Emerald celebrates winners of its annual High Usage Award 2022

Emerald Publishing has announced the top 20 global academic institutions with the highest number of downloads of its eJournal content throughout 2021, as part of its annual high usage award.

The award, now in its 12th year, celebrates the relationship between Emerald and the winning institutions whilst also highlighting the global reach of our research.

This year, the institutions in the top three positions are Egyptian Knowledge Bank Data Center which has held on to the top spot for two years in a row with 702,650 downloads, followed by Universiti Teknologi MARA in second place again with 692,245 downloads. In third place for the third year running, is Liberty University in Texas with 427,158 downloads.

In the top 20 institutions there were 7 institutions from the UK, 3 from the Netherlands, 3 from Australia and 3 from Indonesia. Institutions from Egypt, the USA, Hong Kong and Malaysia were also included.
