We are looking for Regional Editors who can cover one of the following:
- Europe, the Middle East & Africa (x 1)
- The Americas (x 1)
- Southeast Asia (x 1)
- Australasia (x 1)
About the Journal
The Journal of Work-Applied Management is an open access, peer-reviewed journal on management insights, where change, discovery and innovation are driven by work-based, work-applied, collaborative, and experiential approaches. Therefore, the journal publishes original articles which (1) Use work-based, work-applied, collaborative, and experiential approaches, such as case-based, reflective and action-oriented research methodologies, and (2) Are relevant to practitioners/researchers in developing and challenging this field of practice across public, private and community sectors and academic subject disciplines. It is now recognised as a quartile one journal within Scopus.
About the Role
The Regional Editors will be expected to assume the following responsibilities:
- Managing manuscript peer review through an online submission system within a reasonable timeframe
- Making recommendations on manuscripts to the Editor-in-Chief, ensuring the quality of accepted papers
- Promoting the journal at conferences, through web channels, and by encouraging and inviting relevant manuscript submissions through their networks
- Making suggestions on themed special issues of the journal on relevant topics, with a focus on their region, and seeking relevant Guest Editors
- Any other tasks assigned by the Editor-in-Chief.
The ideal candidates will be expected to satisfy the following criteria:
- Hold a doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline
- Have prior experience as a peer reviewer or member of the Editorial Board of an international research journal, particularly for journals publishing work-based, work-applied, collaborative, and experiential research and change approaches
- Have published in international peer-reviewed research, in topics relevant to work-based, work-applied, collaborative, and experiential research and change approaches
- Be able to provide impartial judgement on other researchers’ work
- Be fluent in English with good writing ability.
