Aims and scope

The African Journal of Economic and Management Studies (AJEMS) is a multidisciplinary journal and welcomes papers from all the major disciplines in economics, business and management studies.

African managers and policymakers are in constant search of performance-enhancing management practices. As a result, AJEMS places management and leadership at the centre stage of business and organizational research in Africa and the journal emphasizes an understanding of how theories and models support management practices. The journal also carries a section that stimulates practitioner-based dialogue offering its readers insights into how African executives practise management.

Its target audience includes researchers, students, government officials, policymakers and specialists who are concerned with economic and management issues in Africa.

Please note that AJEMS only accepts papers on African countries or the African continent. Papers which do not relate to Africa will not be accepted for publication.
