Asian Review of Accounting

The 2026 Asian Review of Accounting (ARA) Symposium Call for Papers

The annual Asian Review of Accounting (ARA) Symposium will be held at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA on May 8-9, 2026. The symposium is co-sponsored by Asian Review of Accounting and University of Cincinnati. Asian Review of Accounting is indexed in Scopus and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) - Web of Science. It provides a platform for interaction and discussion of a wide range of topics among academics, regulators, and practitioners to enhance the understanding of accounting issues in different economies. Manuscripts from all countries and regions and all areas of accounting are welcome.

Authors are invited to submit research papers in English for presentation. The Symposium Program Committee will select papers for presentation based on the feedback from reviewers, the quality of the work, and its potential contribution to the literature.

The submission deadline is January 31, 2026.

Authors should submit only full papers (i.e., complete scholarly research projects that could reasonably be submitted to a public working paper database such as SSRN). Proposals will not be accepted. There is no specific manuscript format and no page limit, but papers should generally not exceed 55 pages. Presenters of accepted papers must register as symposium participants.

Submission procedures and rules

Papers submissions should be emailed to [email protected].

There is NO submission fee. In the subject of the email, authors should indicate that the submission is for the 2026 ARA Symposium. One file, including the title page, should be submitted as an attachment to the email.

Paper sessions

The Symposium will include plenary and concurrent sessions. Papers accepted for the plenary sessions of the Symposium will have the option to be reviewed for publication in the Asian Review of Accounting (ARA) with the ultimate editorial decision to be determined according to ARA’s policies. However, submission to ARA is not mandatory. Papers not accepted for the Plenary Sessions can still be submitted to ARA as regular new submissions.
