This is a call for reviewers to nominate themselves or others to participate in the peer review process for a well established international journal Collection and Curation. The journal publishes articles pertaining to Archives, Museums, Galleries and Libraries. In this way it is a journal with wide areas of interest where the practice of collection and curation apply. There are communalities of interest here. Related areas of records management are confronted with similar controversies of collection practice, storage and digital collection and management. There are overlaps where professional learning occurs.
The reviewers should have knowledge and experience in these nominated or related areas. Reviewers can have academic qualifications but at the same time experienced practitioners are warmly sought and welcomed. The expectation of the reviews is to assist authors improve their papers allowing the community to learn and be challenged.
Being a reviewer improves ones career prospects by understanding the profession a little more, by being able to analyse trends and ideas globally and by raising one’s profile internationally amongst the profession’s leaders.
