Education + Training - Professor Harry Matlay

On behalf of the Emerald, the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board of Education + Training we are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Harry Matlay, long standing former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development.  Professor Matlay was also a guest editor with Education + Training for approaching 20 years.

During his career, Professor Matlay made a significant contribution to the entrepreneurship education literature publishing many articles and editorials. His body of work has been heavily cited by the academic community. He also supported and mentored many early career scholars in the entrepreneurship discipline. We are profoundly grateful for his service and lasting contributions.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and students. May he rest in peace.
