International Journal of Human Rights in Healthcare and the Human Rights Research Center announce a new collaboration
International Journal of Human Rights in Healthcare (IJHRH), published by Emerald Publishing, is pleased to announce a new collaborative relationship with the Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) from April 2026.
Under this collaboration, the Human Rights Research Center will support the Journal by providing a new international team of editors, bringing together diverse expertise and experience across human rights, healthcare, policy, and interdisciplinary research. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to publishing high‑quality and relevant research at the intersection of human rights and healthcare globally.
The new editor team will play a key role in supporting the journal’s mission to publish impactful research that addresses pressing challenges in human rights in healthcare systems, policy, and practice. Drawing on HRRC’s global research networks and experience, the partnership aims to enhance international representation and further the journal’s role as a forum for key research in the field.
International Journal of Human Rights in Healthcare (IJHRH) is a peer reviewed journal with a unique practical approach to promoting equality, inclusion and human rights in health and social care.
Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) is an international, volunteer-led organization dedicated to making human rights research accessible.
The editor team provided by the Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) are Natalie Bello (US), Nathalie Gullo (US), Charity Ndanu Mbalu (Kenya), and Simra Sohail (Pakistan). The editor team is chaired by Deanna Wilken (US), Founder and President of the Human Rights Research Center.
Through this collaboration, HRRC and IJHRH seek to foster an inclusive dialogue and to encourage submissions on research from a broad range of global contexts.
