International Journal of Migration, Health and Social Care (IJMHSC) is pleased to announce the creation of an Early Career Reviewer Board (ECRB).
IJMHSC is an international, multidisciplinary journal focusing on how international migration relates to health and social care issues, including mental health.
As strong believers in positive change, IJMHSC has decided to develop an ECRB to give Early Career Researchers the means to participate within a journal publishing environment and to be involved in developing IJMHSC for the community along with the editors.
Criteria
ECRs are expected to have at least 2 years' experience in research (e.g. research assistant/postdoctoral associate/doctoral candidate) and be up to 5 years post-PhD. They must have a strong interest in the topics within the journal’s scope, which you can find on the journal’s homepage.
Term & duties
Selected applicants will be appointed to the ECRB for 3 years, after which there may be the opportunity to be appointed to the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) in consultation with the Editor. Each member is expected to review 2 to 3 new papers per year. There will be an introductory meeting to discuss the publication process and any questions. Training will be provided for Emerald’s submission system ScholarOne.
Applications
The application process is simple – please email the Editor ([email protected]) or Commissioning Assistant Cecilia Saxton Smith ([email protected]), with your CV and a statement (no more than 400 words) on why you would like to be involved in the ECRB. Please also mention your primary areas of research expertise.
