Announcement of new Editor-in-Chief – International Journal of Public Sector Management

We regret to announce that Professor Sandra van Thiel is stepping down from her role as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Public Sector Management. In the seven years Professor van Thiel has edited the journal, it has flourished under her leadership and expertise. We would like to thank Professor van Thiel for her service to the journal – it has been a pleasure to work with her.

We are very pleased to welcome Professor Rocco Palumbo as the journal’s new Editor-in-Chief, beginning on the 14th of July 2023. In addition to his role as Associate Professor of Organization Studies at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy, Professor Palumbo is also a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Business and Accounting, Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan, and has previously collaborated with the Swedish Institute for Social Research at Stockholm University, Sweden, and the HIVA Research Institute for Work and Society at KU Leuven, Belgium.

Professor Palumbo’s research primarily covers public management and health services, with a focus on service co-production and value co-creation in public settings. Professor Palumbo’s research interests also extend to organizational change management and workplace discrimination, and he has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
