Journal of Global Operations and Strategic Sourcing (JGOSS) invites applications for its Early Career Reviewer Board. This initiative is designed to engage promising early career scholars in the editorial activities of the journal, support their development as reviewers and future editorial leaders, and strengthen JGOSS' international pool of qualified reviewers.
The Early Career Reviewer Board will provide an opportunity for emerging scholars to contribute to the journal’s peer-review process, increase their understanding of editorial standards and participate in the development of the JGOSS community.
About the journal
Often the journal of choice for outsourcing industry specialists and researchers, JGOSS provides a central, authoritative and independent forum for the critical evaluation and dissemination of research and development, applications, processes and current practices relating to sourcing strategically for products, services, competences and resources on a global scale and to designing, implementing and managing the resulting global operations.
JGOSS places a strong emphasis on applied research with relevant implications for both knowledge and practice. The journal also aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and opinions on research projects and issues.

The role of the Early Career Reviewer
Responsibilities
As strong believers in positive change and impact, JGOSS has decided to develop an Early Career Reviewer Board (ECRB) to give Early Career Researchers the means to participate within a journal publishing environment and to be involved in developing JGOSS for the community along with the Editor and Editorial Board Members.
Early Career Reviewer Board members will be expected to:
- Review 3-6 manuscripts per year under the guidance and standards of the journal.
- Provide timely, constructive and developmental reviews.
- Support the identification of emerging topics and research communities relevant to JGOSS.

- Encourage high-quality submissions aligned with the journal’s aims and scope.
- Provide feedback to the editorial team when requested.
Editorial Development and Progression
The ECRB is intended as a developmental pathway for promising scholars. Outstanding members who demonstrate commitment, reliability and high-quality reviewing may be considered for future promotion to the Editorial Advisory Board.
This pathway reflects the journal’s commitment to developing the next generation of editorial leaders in the field.
