Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research (JIABR) is pleased to announce that the application process is open to join its Early Career Review Board.
JIABR provides a dynamic forum for the advancement of accounting and business knowledge based on Islamic teachings to affect a positive impact on the welfare of societies around the world. JIABR welcomes pioneering contributions to Islamic accounting, economics, marketing, Shariah governance, banking and finance and publishes articles that promote accountability, socio-economic justice (adl) and everlasting success (al-falah).
In order to strengthen ties with our researcher community, JIABR is developing an Early Career Review Board (ECRB) to give Early Career Researchers the means to participate within a journal publishing environment and to be involved in developing the journal for the community along with the editors and associate editors.
Selected applicants will be appointed to the ECRB for 3 years, after which there may be the opportunity to be appointed to the Editorial Review Board (ERB) in consultation with the editor. Each member is expected to review 3 to 4 new papers per year. There will be an introductory meeting to discuss the publication process and any questions. Training will be provided for Emerald’s submission system ScholarOne.
The application process is simple – please email the commissioning editor (Clare Lehane, [email protected]) with a statement (no more than 400 words) on why you would like to be involved in the Board by May 30th 2025. Please also mention your primary areas of research expertise and append your CV. Early career researchers are those who have been awarded a doctoral degree in the past 5 years (excluding career breaks).
