The Journal of Islamic Marketing (JIMA) is currently inviting applications for Associate Editors to help shape the journal’s future and support its mission to advance impactful, cross-disciplinary research investigating Marketing’s relationship with Islam.

JIMA covers the entire field of marketing and its associated sub-disciplines. The journal publishes articles which are: based on quantitative or qualitative empirical work, conceptual, theory driven, literature reviews, case studies, book reviews, executive interviews, and thought pieces – without preference.

About the Role
As an Associate Editor, you will:
- Contribute to the peer review process and uphold editorial standards
- Support authors and reviewers throughout the publication journey
- Help grow the journal’s reach and relevance in the global research community.

Responsibilities of Associate Editors
The Associate Editors will assume the following responsibilities:
- Helping to commission content in their area of research interest (encouraging the submission of articles and special issue proposals)
- Managing manuscript peer review for a number of submissions through an online submission system within a reasonable timeframe
- Making recommendations on manuscripts to the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editors-in-Chief, ensuring the quality of accepted papers
- Promoting the journal at conferences and through web channels
- Contributing in any other ways to the journal’s further development
Qualifications
The ideal candidates will be expected to satisfy the following criteria:
- Hold a PhD degree or professional qualification in an appropriate discipline, with expertise relevant to the scope of the Journal of Islamic Marketing
- Have prior experience as a peer reviewer an/or member of an Editorial Board of a journal and some editorial experience
- Have an active publication record in reputable journals
- Be able to provide impartial judgement on other researchers’ work
- Be fluent in English with good writing ability
- Be willing to manage content via ScholarOne, the journal’s online peer-review and management system (training and guidance information will be given)
- We are particularly interested in candidates who are methodological experts in Quantitative or Qualitative methods
