We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of Finance and Economics Letters, a new sister journal to Studies in Economics and Finance due to begin publication in early 2028.
Finance and Economics Letters is designed to fill a critical gap in academic publishing by providing a dedicated platform for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of finance and economics. Over the next 5–10 years, the landscape of finance and economics is expected to evolve significantly, driven by advancements in financial technology (FinTech), sustainable finance, digital currencies, behavioural economics, and global financial stability. As a sister journal to the esteemed Studies in Economics and Finance, Finance and Economics Letters’s mission is to provide a platform for innovative and impactful research that addresses contemporary issues and challenges in the global financial and economic landscape. Finance and Economics Letters will publish concise and comprehensive insights that bridge finance and economics.
Finance and Economics Letters will be headed by Dr. Harald Kinateder (University of Passau). Dr. Kinateder is currently an Associate Editor of Studies in Economics and Finance, having been with the journal since 2018, and specialises in research on asset pricing, corporate finance, energy economics, quantitative risk management, SME financing and time series analysis. Through his contributions to SEF, as well as his editorial roles elsewhere, he has demonstrate his readiness to step into the Editor-in-Chief role for Finance and Economics Letters and we look forward to the development of the journal under his leadership.
