STH Call for Papers
Sustainability in Tourism and Hospitality (STH) is a multi-disciplinary journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse on sustainability within tourism and hospitality industries. It seeks rigorous, impactful research that effectively connects knowledge with practice to drive real-world change. In addition to tourism and hospitality studies, STH also welcomes manuscripts on other topics such as efficient energy use, waste management, climate action, safeguarding cultural heritage, and green technology.
The journal welcomes high-quality contributions including research articles, practitioner papers, case studies, and technical papers on topics such as (but not limited to):
• Sustainable tourism and hospitality management practices
• Climate change adaptation in tourism
• Sustainable destination development and governance
• Eco-certification, green hospitality standards, and sustainable supply chains
• Community-based and indigenous tourism sustainability
• Circular economy approaches in hospitality operations
• Smart tourism, digital innovation, and sustainability synergies
• Policy frameworks and global sustainability standards (e.g. SDGs, ESG, GSTC)
• Overtourism, carrying capacity, and regenerative tourism models
• Tourism impacts on biodiversity, ecosystems, and protected areas
• Sustainable transport and mobility in tourism
• Sustainable food systems and sourcing in hospitality
• Social equity, labour rights, and ethical tourism practices
• Sustainable and green hospitality architecture and infrastructure design
The journal is open to quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and transdisciplinary approaches, and encourages contributions from diverse geographical contexts, including the Global South.
