Future leaders:
fit for planet?
An Emerald mission in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals
How can business schools produce the sustainable leaders that we need?
Are people looking away from their politicians and towards businesses to bring about changes for a sustainable future? Can business and business schools be a force for good?
Businesses are changing the way they operate, from remote and agile working through to meaningful relationships with society and stewardship of the environment.
We look at the ways that business schools are adapting in order to keep pace with these changes, and ask if they are producing the sustainable leaders that we need.
This mission supports our Responsible management goal
Introduction by Richard Oloruntoba
Richard Oloruntoba, Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Curtin Business School, Australia, introduces our mission centered around the responsibility of Business Schools to produce sustainability leaders.
This mission discusses the skills that future leaders will need in order to ensure businesses lead the way in solving some of the worlds' environmental and societal challenges. Richard encourages researchers and educators to join the discussion.
