The One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) scheme will provide equitable access to international scholarly journals and articles for students, faculty, researchers, and scientists across 6,300 government-managed higher education institutions and R&D centres.
Covering over 13,000 journals from 30 major publishers, it benefits approximately 18 million individuals across disciplines like STEM, medicine, and social sciences. ONOS is a key component of India's vision for self-reliance and development by 2047.
As a valuable contributor to the academic landscape in India, our commitment to publishing research that influences policies and drives positive societal change aligns with the ONOS initiative.
Shariq Mumtaz, Chief Commercial Officer, Emerald Publishing, said: "As a global publisher with a strong focus on impactful research that addresses real-world challenges, we welcome India's ONOS scheme. This policy resonates with our own mission to bridge gaps in knowledge and empower individuals through equitable access to research. We look forward to collaborating with Indian institutions to amplify the reach and impact of research that can drive meaningful change."
