Emerald Publishing launches Sustainable Finance Review journal

17th April 2025

Emerald Publishing has launched its latest academic journal, Sustainable Finance Review (SFR). This new publication is set to explore critical areas in finance, including renewable energy financing, ESG, Fintech, decarbonization, carbon markets, public-private partnerships, and sustainable finance policy.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SFR will provide a dedicated platform for addressing the financial dimensions of climate resilience and sustainability. The journal is committed to bridging academic research with real-world applications, offering insights that are valuable to both scholars and industry professionals. Reflecting this commitment, SFR boasts an editorial board with strong representation from leading experts across academia and the financial sector.

Professor Nawazish Mirza, of Excelia Academy in France, will serve as the journal’s Editor-in-Chief. With editorial experience in Review of Accounting and Finance and Journal of Risk Finance, Nawazish will lead a team of dedicated Associate Editors and an Editorial Advisory Board.

SFR will operate under a hybrid publishing model, supported by subscriptions and Article Processing Charges. As part of its launch promotion, all articles will be freely accessible until 2027. The journal is now open for submissions.
