Emerald Publishing’s Impact services shortlisted for ALPSP’s Innovation in Publishing Award

5th July 2022

Emerald Publishing has been shortlisted for the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) award for Innovation in Publishing for its Impact Services.

Applications for the annual awards were open to any new development, product, service or project which is both innovative and of significant value to scholarly communication.

Impact Services is a unique online subscription service that aims to support researchers in understanding and planning for impact. It supports research offices in training researchers on impact and helps to build healthy impact cultures.

Emerald has been shortlisted against six other finalists including The Charlesworth Group, GigaScience Press, Royal Society of Chemistry, EMBO & ASAPbio, ICLR & 67 Bricks and Hum, a Silverchair company.

All the finalists will present their submissions to the judges in July. They will be also invited to showcase their innovation to industry peers at the ALPSP Awards session to be held on Wednesday 14 September at the ALPSP 2022 Conference.

Notes on Emerald Publishing and usage during Covid-19

At present we are living in a difficult and uncertain time around the world, as we face the fight against COVID-19. Now, more than ever, people need quick and easy online access to the information we publish on Emerald Insight and the opportunities to share their research, so we are keen to ensure that all of our users have access to research, even if institutions are closed. To help with any issues, and keep people up to date with new information we launched our Customer Support Portal.

We have made research on COVID-19, the management of epidemics and pandemics, and supply chain management free for anyone to access and have also made this available with full text and data mining rights to PubMed Central and the World Health Organisation repository. We will continue to make relevant research freely available on this site.
