Emerald’s High Usage Awards 2023: Celebrating the top 20 institutions

Emerald Publishing has released the top 20 winning institutions of its 12th annual High Usage Awards. These are the global academic institutions with the highest number of downloads of Emerald’s eJournal content throughout 2022.

The awards celebrate the relationship between Emerald and the winning institutions, while also highlighting the global reach of our research.

For the second year running, the three top positions for 2022 are held by Egyptian Knowledge Bank Data Center, Egypt, with 716,160 downloads, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, with 673,030, and Liberty University, USA, with 454,693.

The top 20 institutions included 9 from the UK, 5 from Indonesia, and 2 from Malaysia. Institutions from Egypt, the USA, Australia, and the Netherlands also featured.

Commenting on the value of the awards, Shariq Mumtaz, Chief Commercial Officer at Emerald said: "Huge congratulations and thanks to the top 20 institutions featured in our annual High Usage Awards. The awards are an opportunity to recognise the institutions we work with across the world and to thank them for their loyalty and dedication to high-quality research".
