Tax Information (for US Residents Only)

For the majority of our US-based authors, editors and suppliers, Emerald Publishing Limited files yearly reports to the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on payments made during each calendar year. This is done via a 1099 form in the name of CIG Emerald TopCo LLC, which is issued to the payee as well as the IRS. 

In order to be able to correctly file the 1099 we must collect a completed W-9 form from everyone who we pay based in the US. 

You can submit your W-9 form in one of two ways: 

• We may send you an email from our secure portal with instructions for completion. The request will be under the name of CIG Emerald TopCo LLC.
• Alternatively, you can download the W-9 form directly from the IRS website (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf) and return the completed form to us at [email protected]. 

Please note that we are unable to issue payments until we have received your completed W-9 form.
