Call for Early Career Reviewers!

Advances in Dual Diagnosis

Advances in Dual Diagnosis (ADD) is pleased to announce the creation of anEarly Career ReviewerBoard!

ADD is an international applied research journal offering peer-reviewed, practical and thought-provoking content and a forum for topical debate on dual diagnosis (co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders).

As strong believers in positive change, ADD has decided to develop an Early CareerReviewerBoard (ECRB)to give Early Career Researchers the means to participate within a journal publishing environment and to be involved in developing ADD for the community along with the editors.

ECRs are expected to have at least 2 years' experience in research (e.g. research assistant/postdoctoral associate/doctoral candidate) and a strong interest in the topics within the journal’s scope.

Selected applicants will be appointed to the ECRB for 3 years, after which there may be the opportunity to be appointed to the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) in consultation with the Editors. Each member is expected to review 3 to 4 new papers per year. There will be an introductory meeting to discuss the publication process and any questions. Training will be provided for Emerald’s submission system ScholarOne.

Applications

The application process is simple – please email Aggie Topolska, Journals Commissioning Lead, at [email protected], with your CV and a statement (no more than 400 words) on why you would like to be involved in the Review Board. Please also mention your primary areas of research expertise. Early Career Researchers are those who have fewer than 5 years' experience in postdoctoral research (excluding career breaks).
