Emerald Publishing partners with China Academy of Railway Sciences to publish its Railway Sciences journal

Emerald Publishing has announced it has partnered with China Academy of Railway Sciences (CARS) to publish its Railway Sciences journal.

The international, open access, peer-reviewed journal aims to serve the world's railway modernization, promote high-level academic research and exchange, and display advanced achievements in basic theoretical research, scientific and technological innovation.

It will provide a platform to publish the original and significant papers on railway design and planning, civil engineering, equipment and systems, transportation operation and management and other related topics.

The journal is unique in that it will deliver timely railways technical innovation, capture the trending views of industry experts and will cover all significant aspects of railway research as CARS is the only comprehensive research institute with multi-disciplines and multi-specialties in China railway industry.

The editorial team includes Dr Xinjun Zhou from China Academy of Railway Sciences as Editor-in-Chief, and the journal will publish three volumes from 2022 to 2024, starting with two issues in volume one. The first issue will be published in June.

Dr Xinjun Zhou commented: “It is with great delight that we announce the birth of Railway Sciences (RS), an international, open access, and peer-reviewed journal publishing research covering all aspects of railway, in association with China Academy of Railway Sciences (CARS). We are confident that RS will mature into a major international publication of interest to railway scholars, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, educators and students.
