Aims and scope

Construction Materials seeks to publish original research and practice papers of the highest quality on any kind of materials used in construction and civil engineering. All aspects of a material's life are addressed including embodied energy, environmental impact, service life, refurbishment, recycling and reuse. Papers are particularly sought in the areas where construction materials are used in or close to its real application that demonstrate to a larger community what is potentially possible. Also papers that provide knowledge and insight that can be used beyond the range of specimens that have been investigated in the lab are highly encouraged.

Awards: Each year, the paper rated best by the Editorial Panel is given the ICE's Howard Medal.
